Membership
We are always looking for new members. The club was founded in May of 2002 and was granted accreditation by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in October of 2003. It is important that all club members are interested it furthering the breed as defined by the AKC expectations of a specialty club. Current club members have participated in some or all type types of events held under the auspicious of the AKC. The goal of this club is to provide assistance to members in preparing to compete AKC events. Club field events are open to all pointing breed dogs that have been AKC registered.
In order for your application to be accepted, you must be someone in good standing with the American Kennel Club. A Membership application is posted via email to all members. Members both voting and Associate have 14 days to make an objection to the applicant(s). If no objection is raised within that time, the applicant(s) will be accepted as an Associate Member(s). To become a full voting member of the Club, these members are required to support a Club event within twelve months following the date of the application. Once a new Associate Member has fulfilled the support requirement, they will be voted on at the next Club meeting to become a voting member if so desired. You will need to agree to abide by the Club Code of Ethics and Constitution & Bylaws. You should download and read these documents before submitting your application for membership.
